It is said that City palace Jaipur was built during 1729 and 1732 by Sawai Jai Singh II.Sawai Jai Singh was the ruler of Amber. He built the outermost walls and later on the construction of the city palace was initiated by successive rulers that came into being up to 20th century. The palace has a marvelous outer layout which is called the urban layout of the palace and the credit for this goes to two talented Architects, they are Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob.
